We are pleased to announce that Longmax Technology has successfully won the contract to supply combiner box for the AL HENAKIYAH SOLAR (R4) 1.1GW PV project, which is another major breakthrough for Longmax Technology in the Middle East solar market in a month following the signing of the contract for the supply of combiner box for the DEWA6 project with a total capacity of 1.8GW. In the wave of renewable energy, Longmax once again proved its strength and vision. AL HENAKIYAH SOLAR (R4) 1.1GW PV project is one of the PV projects in the fourth round of the Saudi Power Procurement Corporation's (SPPC) National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) in which a consortium of three companies, Masdar, EDF Renewables, and Nesma Company. The project is an important part of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) of the Kingdom aimed at improving the energy structure and achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
The project is located in west-central Saudi Arabia, about 161 kilometers east of Medina, a desert area that takes advantage of the vast land area available and the long hours of sunshine to produce clean energy capable of powering about 190,000 residential units annually.
Thanks to the abundant sunlight resources and strong government support, the solar market in the Middle East has seen an unprecedented boom in recent years, with leapfrog growth in construction and investment, and the AL HENAKIYAH SOLAR (R4) PV project is another important milestone.
